04/02/2022 — Miami, Florida — Cominted Labs’ Petaverse project will continue to expand its development in the virtual pet world with its latest grant from Decentraland. The news comes as metaverse platforms hope to expand their user base with new experiences, and existing users crave new adventures.
Just six months ago, Cominted Labs’ Creative Director Maggie Galarraga had the crazy idea to bring pets to the metaverse. At the time, none of the popular metaverse platforms offered a comparable feature. Cominted Labs banded together to launch Petaverse, a Pet-themed wearable collection for pet-lovers across the metaverse galaxy.
Each Petaverse owner receives a backpack to carry their lovable pet-fren around Decentraland’s vast virtual landscape. Today, hundreds of Decentraland users take their pets on meta-adventures thanks to Petaverse backpacks.

Petaverse didn’t stop at wearables. Meet Petaverse Park, a dedicated hang-out spot for digitally native pet enthusiasts in the metaverse. You can find Petaverse Park in Decentraland at coordinates 61,119.
The mission of the Petaverse platform is to build experiences for Pet lovers in Decentraland and onboard pet companies in the metaverse. The one-of-a-kind pet project hopes to accomplish this mission through sponsored events, branded wearables & interactive games (more info on the Petaverse roadmap here).
